Although, the production house AVM has not officially made any statement, Telugu producer Bellamkonda says Rajnikanth’s Shivaji to release on May 17th. As the number 8 is lucky to director Shankar, the makers are in favour of releasing it on that day.

The film is still under the post-production and there was talk that it would release only on June 4th. But Bellamkonda now confirms that it will release on May 17th.
