Ajay Patnaik, brother of music director R P Patnaik will soon turn music director with the film Hari Om. The new film will star a newcomer in the lead. Sekhar is a well-known face in the theatre circles and he is making his debut in films with Hari Om. Ramanlok Varma, a senior ad professional will wield the baton for the film while veteran actor Krishna is doing a special guest role in the movie.

Tamil film music composer Harris Jayaraj has not had success in Tollywood so far. Yet, he is still in demand. “I am composing music for Chianjeevi’s next film,” Harris told the media in Chennai on Saturday.

Although he refused to divulge more details about the film as to who is directing and when will it start, he said, “I am confirmed for it. That’s all I can say.”

Industry grapevine is that given the buzz about his political entry, his 149th film might be a politically message oriented movie which will be directed by a young Telugu director.

Popular television anchor UDAYA BHANU will be donning the item girl avtar for POSANI KRISHNA MURALI’s upcoming venture, Aapadamokkulavadu. NAGA BABU is playing the lead in the movie. The dusky anchor is one of the highest paid hosts in the Telugu television industry. She had tried her hand in films earlier but without much luck. It will be interesting to see if she can charm the audience with her dance moves-Telugu Cinemass.

According to the usually reliable sources, Chiranjeevi, the Tollywood top star, finally decided to take the expected plunge into the realm of politics. He is said to have accepted the call of SC, ST and BC leaders call to accept the responsibility of heading the 3rd front political force in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Though there are reports in all the media that Pawan Kalyan may join the Bahujan Samaj Party, the inside sources say that Pawan was the motivating force behind the decision of Chiranjeevi to make his arangetram into the political arena-Telugu Cinemass.

Actress SRUTHI MISHRA, who shot to fame with her performance in Hyderabad Nawabs has moved base to Bangalore as she’s been signed up to play the lead in a Kannada film. The actress however, is longing to come back to Tollywood. “I have been getting good offers from Tollywood but unfortunately for me I am tied up with my Kannada film. So I had no option but to refuse them. I will be moving back to the city to focus on my Tollywood career,” says Sruthi-Telugu Cinemass.
