Hansika Motwani, the fresh new face of Tollywood, is basking in the glory of her debut film “Desamuduru”. All of 16, this was her first innings as a lead actress, but Hansika is no stranger to the camera. For the uninitiated, hansika is the same girl who won hearts with her performances in Balaji serials like “Kyunki…, Des mein nikla hoga chand” and in movies like “Jaago” and “Koi Mil Gaya” as a child artiste. ” It’s funny how people gasp when they realise that I was the child artiste they saw in serilas about three years ago. I started acting when I was 10 and took a break when I was 13 so that I could arrive in a new avatar. It was my Mom’s decision and it worked. My luck teeth have gone, I have shed the baby fat and people are willing to accept me as a herione now”.
In less than 10 days of her movie release Hansika has managed to create a large fan base in the city. there are websites dedicated to her and fan blogs. “The most beautiful moment of my life was when I came to the city for a showroom inauguration. My fans followed me all the way from the airport to the store and some broke open my car window just to get a glimpse of me. It was crazy and I loved all the attention.” With Tollywood offers continuing to pour in. Hansika plans to make the best of both Tollywood and Bollywoo. For sometime who won 13 awards as a child atiste, “language has never been a barier,” she says, adding “Tollywood is a great industry. They are extremely professionl and co-operative. Allu Arjun was fun to work with.”
In spite of having a CA to manage her finances and a scretary and manager to manage her career, hansika still gets her pocket money from her mom. “These are little things you need to do remind yourself no matter how big you become, you are yoursel. My mom is always ther to ensure that my head remains firmly on my shoulders.”
