Kasthuri has done a lot of Tamil movies and she has also proved her talent in the Telugu movie industry. Her first movie in the Telugu industry was ‘Chilakkottudu’ with Jagapathi Babu and Rajendra Prasad. The movie also starred Ramya Krishna, Gowthami, Madhu Bala and Indraja in pivotal roles. Directed by E.v.v. Satyanarayana, the movie was produced by M Balaji Nagalingam. She then continued to work in Telugu movies. ‘Annamayya’ was her movie in the year 1997 in which the stars like Mohan Babu, Nagarjuna, Ramya Krishnan and Roja starred along with her.

Then came her movie named ‘Panchapandavar’ in the year 1999. Vijaya Raghavan starred opposite her in the movie. Sithara also did an important in the movie. The movie was directed by Haridas and music for the movie was scored by Kaithapram Viswanathan. Another movie in Telugu released in the year 2001 was Aakasa Veedhilo with Nagarjuna. The movie also had Rajendra Prasad and Raveena Tandon. Keeravani MM scored the music for the movie.

Kasthuri had been doing good movies in the industry in the role of heroine few years back but opted out of movies to do her own business.
